Lauren Casey is a talented Singer/Pianist/Songwriter, classically trained on the Violin and Viola and self taught in both vocals and piano. She is a ‘Chameleon’ when using her voice and never fails to wow the audience. She can show several sides to her vocals; she has angelic tones for the softer vocals such as Eva Cassidy and Norah Jones to her powerful high range vocals mimicking the styles of Celine Dion and Whitney Houston.

Lauren started performing from the early age of 3, attending at Chadsworth Stage School where she learnt tap, ballet and contemporary dance. She has always enjoyed musical theatre singing songs from her favourite musicals ’The Sound of Music’ and ‘Mary Poppins’ as Julie Andrews was an inspiration when growing up. She also appreciated the operatic musicals and finds the songs challenging and emotionally moving; in particular the impressive ‘Phantom of the Opera’ and ‘Cats’. Lauren also sings in different languages making her repertoire very versatile pleasing wide audiences from all over the world.

Throughout her teenage years she joined many orchestras and choirs developing her techniques and styles. Lauren has toured Belgium and has played lead roles in many musicals including ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘Me and my Gal’. She has attained certificates from the ISTD, LAMDA and ABRSM. Lauren’s ambition has always been to make it as an International Recording Artist. Her love for power ballads all started when she won Best Vocals singing ‘My Heart Will Go On’ at school and since then singing has always been the main part of her life.

At Strode’s College, Lauren’s passion for songwriting developed and this is where she taught herself the piano and began to write her first album ‘If Only…’ She continues to write her own material and has made several albums. Inbetween studying and preparing for university she started doing local gigs and building her repertoire.

Lauren has attained a BA Hons degree in Professional Musicianship with Vocals at Brighton Institute of Modern Music. At BIMM, she developed as a performer and interacted with professional musicians. Lauren hit the London scene for a few years as well as gigging in Brighton. She performed in piano lounge bars, pubs, festivals, weddings, hotels and played for special occasions. In Brighton, Lauren found a love for improvisation where she was the lead vocalist playing at the longest running club night ‘Live & Unleashed’ at Digital. She sang with a live Band and DJ improvising and engaging the audience and this led to a more polished, confident and charismatic performer.

In 2010, Lauren entered into one of the biggest UK singing competition, Open Mic UK 2010 and was a finalist from 10,000 down to the last 25 and had the opportunity to perform at the world’s best venue The O2. Playing at the IndigO2 was one of Lauren’s biggest audiences yet and most prestigious venue. Through the competition she won the ‘Exposure Award’ as she was being supported by so much media press appearing in many newspapers, magazines and radio stations, including BBC Surrey, Eagle and the Surrey Advertiser.

Lauren has performed at many venues on land but her first performance at sea was in 2012 with Fred Olsen on The Balmoral celebrating the 100th anniversary. This once in a lifetime opportunity made her realise she wanted to travel with her music and see the more of the world.

Performing abroad was a passion that Lauren pushed for in 2013, she was invited to join a band as a singer/keyboard player working at the 5* Intercontinental Hotel in Shenzhen, China for 3 months and this inspired her to form her own band.

‘Lauren & The Score’ was the party band that Lauren put a lot of time and passion into. She built up a good rapport with her band mates and as a result she worked with Princess Cruises for 3 years. She continues to work abroad and looks forward to working solo again.

Lauren is young, fun and lively making her a great performer to watch. She is very business minded and always likes a challenge. Her main ambition in life is to be up on stage entertaining people from all around the world and giving them a show that will leave them wanting more.

Lauren Casey can easily sound like Eva Cassidy, yet she can deliver powerful soulful ballads like only Aretha Franklin or Whitney Houston can…
